Aztec Network is a privacy-focused Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum that uses zero-knowledge proofs to enable encrypted, programmable smart contracts. The team co-invented the PLONK zero-knowledge proof system, one of the most widely adopted ZK proving schemes in the industry. The mainnet launched in November 2025 with the AZTEC token following in February 2026.
